A huge congratulations to Zsolt Daranyi who captured the Gold medal in the 64KG weight class and Kingsley Alexander who earned the Silver medal in the KG class at 2011 Canada Games in Halifax, Nova Scotia!

Zsolt defeated Nova Scotia’s own Taylor Gordon with a score of 9-3, while Kingsley faced off against PEI’s Robert MacMillan, but was outpointed 19-12.

Logan Cotton McGuinness improved to 14-0-1, 7KO’s in impressive style as he successfully defended his NABA Lightweight championship by stopping rugged veteran Hector Julio Avila, now 47-6, 42KO’s of La Romana, Dominican Republic at 2:46 of the fourth round.

Victor Lupo of Toronto (19-1-2, 9KO’s) captured the vacant WBC International Silver championship over the former WBC Welterweight champion Junior “The Hitter” Witter, now 37-4-2, 22KO’s of Sheffield, England in a very sloppy clinchfest ten round unanimous decision.

Tebor Brosch (6-3-5, 2KO’s) and Samuel Vargas (7-0-1, 1KO) fought a ten round war that ended in a majority draw for the vacant NABA Canada title.  The judge’s scored the fight 96-94 Vargas and 95-95 & 95-95.
